Just Conveyors accumulation and sortation units come in a variety of types, sizes, and configurations to meet the needs of any application. There are threeebasic types of accumulation conveyor. There are varriable pressure, units, zero pressure units, and mechanical device accumulation.

Zero pressure units offer accumulation without any back pressure. The products never touch.

Variable pressure units allow for the products to touch. The amount of drive under the roller can be adjusted or varied. This allows the for minimal back pressure. This is an economical accumulation unit.

Mechanical device are often used with low friction belting or plastic belting. Plastic belting may contain rollers in the belt to allow for easy accumulation with low back pressure. These units are available in a wide variety of configurations.

Sortation units may consit of hgh speed puches mounted of live roller conveyor or plastic belt conveyor. The pusher sorter just puches the product off the coneyor at a 90 degree angle. This is one of the most economic sortation units available.

Another type of sortation divice is the divert. Diverters are usually pop-up diverts but could also be arm diverts like the plow arm divert.

Sortation can also be done by using plastic belting with plastic rollers. The plastic rollers are engaged by a pop-up plates underneath the belt. The pop-up plates cause the skewed or angled rollers to divert the product. This divert can be at several different angles of diversion.
